Mid Jury Review
Juror's Comments
.Research on the present day practices and believes of Sufism and if it is not being practiced these days then the thesis should start with the exploration of Sufism path.
·Form is very important. Treating ground line for the implementation of design principles is a good approach. Rotation by means of ground line should be considered.
·Model making and form interpretation is interesting but the design program is a bit disappointing.
·There is a lot of diversity in activities on site whereas the program is a bit dull. It can be more interesting if the surrounding activities become a part of the design. Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s Mazar is a strong landmark near the site, which can be considered as a part of the design.
·There should be logic in the allocation of the structures, the grid extraction from the site is not convincing.
·The link is missing between concept and design. The conceptual sheets should connect with the site i.e. the 2D sections of exploration of path should translate on site as 3D.
·The site is huge, don’t get lost in it, rethink of selection of site.
·Incorporation of Sufi expression (concept of taking from God and giving to earth) in design should be considered.
·Graphics and concepts need to match
·Some symbols are not reflective
